I remember once a year or so ago when I showed up to circle a wreck. I didn't feel like I could be there but I had to be there. At some point I was like "wtf" and I Just went for it on my flute and said all these sad things, painful things, personal things in a long conversation... and when we were done Gary said "That was the most beautiful thing! Is that in a Japanese scale?" and I knew that my sharing in that way was a good thing. Not only for me.
